Looking for rings today

Today we went shopping for wedding bands! I had so much fun - more than I thought I would have. We found several that we liked and I am very happy with my choice. Five blue saphires...one to remind me of each of us - surrounded by lots of tiny diamonds that looked like the stars. It will remind me that the stars glow so much brighter with you all next to me. Can't wait for the day when I get to put it on!

Preparing.....

I was wondering what you guys are doing to prepare to be a family? I was thinking of all the things that Anna and I are working on (decluttering, collecting boxes - generally getting our house ready to sell) and that got me thinking about you guys...specifically Emma and Elijah. I know you have been busy looking for houses. Anna tells me that you found a really good one yesterday. That is very helpful! With all of us looking, hopefully the right one won't escape us! Probably because it is Sunday and my mind is focussed on spiritual things - I was wondering how we could all prepare spiritually to become a family. Would you guys like to have a group fast next week? Anna and I will be in your ward with you then. We could pray for guidance in the decisions about where we are going to live. We could ask for help in learning to work and play together. What do you all think? In the mean time, remember to pray for each other this week when you want to know what you can do. Hello to my precious pre-family! Wow, time is really moving quickly since we all got engaged. I miss connecting with you through our blog so I thought I better get back to it. I had the best Valentine's Day ever! Thank you all for making it so memorable and special. When Greg asked me to marry him, I remember looking up into all four of your faces. Everyone was so excited and happy. It is one of my favorite memories ever. I am looking so forward to living together and being a family! There is so much to do now. My son Daniel is taking his first of two exams today for his Real Estate License. Anna has already started "decluttering" her room and is waiting on boxes to put stuff away for a while. On her white board in her room she has written, "My mom is engaged - to an AWSOME guy!" Guess that says it all. Love you all!

What a great day..

Had a great day with everyone today. Emma and Elijah went out sledding with Kookie and then afterwards, Anna and all them came over to hang out. It was really a great afternoon. Felt like everyone hated to part when they had to go. We seem to continue to have great times together, even when those times are just plain kind of days. This is all so wonderful. What a great way to spend a snow day.

Plus, I got my new chair in today. I just love it. Still getting use to it after a few adjustments, but just love it.

Family Meeting #1

Well last night we had our much anticipated pre-family meeting. It was kinda impromptu and overall went well.

The ladies had just gotten back from a youth fireside. And I just thought to seize the moment. We got Index cards and each wrote our looking forward stuff along with our concerns. I was amazed with how quickly all of the kids started writing and so focused. It was amazing. Then we each shared and talked about it all.
I thought it was a great beginning everyone brought up great things and some real concerns. So, I think I'm just letting it all settle in over the next few days and see how everyone is doing then.

Miss you guys today

Anna and I are missing you guys today. Church is not the same anymore. I always wish I was sitting with you three instead of by ourselves. Want to know if we can join you next week? I don't have to teach because it is Fast Sunday. Anna is not comfortable going to Primary by herself and wants to know if she can be your guest in YW's Emma. Don't know if that is possible, but maybe for just one time. Anyway, let me know if that is okay with you guys. Miss you! - K

Indoor sledding....

As January comes to a close...

Good Morning Everyone!
As I was saying my prayers this morning, I was pondering over the many blessings we have had this month. We have had a lot of fun together. We started the year off with a New Year's Eve party where we played games and laughed together, the girls got our nails done - flower's and all. We have had dinners together, we went sledding and played in the snow. Elijah built the best snow fort ever! We have bought mice for snakes and watched Biggest Loser together. You all came to support me when I gave my talk at church and was really nervous. We have ton's of fun pictures of the things we have done and the places we have gone. We had a great time in West Virginia together. We all have great memories of the hot tub and the giant icecicles and pool games. We have given hand and foot massages, we have ordered a new wheelchair, we have had heart felt prayers together, we have made purses and gingerbread houses and texted thousands of messages between us. We have seen movies, we have planned and dreamed together, we have laughed and giggled (a lot) and sledded down stairs when there was no snow. I am so grateful for this time together. My life feels full and happy when the five of us are together. I am looking forward to all the days ahead together!

What a Great day...

We ha a great movie date yesterday. Fantastic food, movie, and drive around town looking through neighborhoods. Much of everything feels so normal and natural. As if it has always been and suppose to be. The odd feeling part is when we are not together.




Emma took a hard hit at YW last night also. A combined activity and a crash in total darkness with a head on impact with a laser tag gun took her down. Of course you can see Chealsy's total support.
